I Need Some Easy To Make, Healthy Recipes!!
oh sneaky angel!!
but i need some good recipes anyways cos im starting to put on weight from not eating properly!
If you eat pork, try this. Get very thin sliced pork chops. Marinate in soy sauce for 1/2 hour. Grill on Foreman (3 mins) or BBQ (2-3 mins each side). Wait 5 - 10 minutes. Slice into strips. Combine with sliced onions, rice vinegar and pepper. Serve with white rice. Very yummy.
ever tried grilling them marinated with french dressing, you will die. In a good way
forget the meal, order take out and tell us about the ex coming over! way more interesting
Girl....I cannot cook anything but rice in the rice cooker:) There is a show here in the States called "Semi-Homeade with Sandra Lee" and all she does is open cans and packages and microwaves everything. That's me, hon:) Angelbaby's idea sounds like something I would do. So.....safe to say you are hoping to ignite the flame with the ex????
ok guys!!! the ex story is as follows, but my oh my it could take ages to tell everything so ill just keep it short!!
we were together for 4 years but broke up 15 months ago after living together for a year. And these past few months we have been hanging out and having so much fun. I moved house on the weekend and him and his mates helped. Then we went out for the night and he told me he is still in love with me (i feel the exactly same, only kissed one guy since we broke up) and he's coming over tonight and i want it to be all romantic in hope that we will talk things over and finger's crossed (get back together)!
Yeah Jen that sounds like me. Im big on the freezer food section in the supermarket!!
Awwwwwwwww! I'm so happy for you.
But, in that case, DON'T COOK. Your mind will be SO elsewhere. You'll only 1.) stress yourself out or 2.) ruin dinner. Seriously. Order something faboir.
I didnt think you guys would be interested but will def keep youz informed as it progresses now! Thanks ♥
you aren't going to make it to dinner! get something you both like to drink (big glasses) and have some finger foods for before and some snacks for later. have fun
I am newbie am wanting to make new friends, and yes I agree, Kiss's are awesome when done romanticly
Hope you have fun tonight Sassyjoy. I'm not much of a cook, but San Fran has tons of Vegan and Vegetarian restaurants and my roommate is a Vegan, although I eat all meat except pork. Here's
one of our favorites, hope you like it if you ever make it:
INGREDIENTS:
1 (9 inch) unbaked 9 inch pie crust
1/2 pound spinach, rinsed and chopped
1/2 pound red Swiss chard, rinsed and chopped
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 small oyster mushrooms, chopped
2 teaspoons capers
1 (12 ounce) package firm tofu, cubed
1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cardamom
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake pie crust until lightly browned. Meanwhile, place spinach and Swiss chard in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover. Lightly cook, about 5 minutes.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and saute onions and garlic. When onions become transparent add spinach and chard. Stir in curry powder, parsley, salt and pepper. Saute until
spinach and chard reduce, then add mushrooms and capers. Stir and remove from heat.
In a blender or food processor, combine tofu, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom and Parmesan cheese. Process until smooth and creamy. Pour over vegetables and mix well. Transfer mixture to the
pie crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle top with Cheddar cheese. Bake for 10 more minutes, or until cheese is lightly browned.

From one Georgia Peach to another....Welcome SB!!! Hope you become as addicted to this site as much as we all have.
'Georgia Peach'.......lol!
Thanks for the links Arthur. the salmon sounds yummo!!
In case you don't like to grill (or don't have one), I added my recipe the oven version of the salmon.
your quite the chef arthur! any other fab recipes u can think of plz let me know. im wanting to start up a recipe book of my own and learn how to cook cos eventually i want kids and dont wan2
be a mom that cant cook
LOL! Although I am soon to be an Ohio Buckeye, but a little part of me will always be a peach! Yeah the Popsugar peeps are very cool, laid back, and intelligent. Have fun!
P.S.....I love salmon. That recipe sounds delish. SJ....you have to tell us what happens with this boy, chica!!
oh my, how did i miss all of this, sassy? that's VERY exciting...!
i will keep my fingers super duper crossed for you! but i agree with the girls -- do NOT try to cook...! it sounds like the premise for a bad sitcom episode, and while it might be funny on TV, you don't want to be starring in that episode...!
TOO funny mal! but i hear what your saying!! i actually set the kitchen on fire a couple of years ago when we were together and i felt like a ditz so i want to avoid a repeat at all costs
maybe the great thing about getting back with your ex is that you don't have to go through all the rigormarole (did i spell that right?) of pretending you've got everything together before
you hook up with him... he already knows who you are!
yeah, we're just so comfortable with each other and know what the other loves and hates. we dont have to feel lik ewe need to impress. plus we just laugh all the time! we only broke up i think becos we were (are) young and we were so serious. i think it freaked him out. plus he had been unemployed for 2 years and that was starting to stress us both out!
seems like if that much time has gone by and you guys are still into each other, that's a very good sign... i hope you work it out!!
If you love someone, stick by them thru thick and thin, unless they are truly a bum.
order something nice from a resturant and make a nice table and let him thint that you cooked it
